Poon Hill ABC Heli Trek is the new trekking – Heli tour walking holiday package. Therefore, it surely increases the thrill. The journey of the Poon Hill Heli Trek follows the regular itinerary of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Trekkers start their walking journey from either Tikhedhunga or Hille. Generally, the journey from Hille is comparatively comfortable than from Tikhedhunga. Trekkers have to walk more uphill from the latter and on the comfortable flat from the former. 

Once trekkers are in Hille or Tikhedhunga, after the jeep drive from Pokhara; the walking starts. The first stop is at Ulleri. The place is very vibrant and is on the sloping hill. There are numerous teahouses as well as villages. Therefore, one can interact with the fellow trekkers as well as with locals. The journey from Ulleri to Ghorepani is very enticing. It has everything an ideal walking trail needs. Green lush forests, cool clean running stream and chirping sound of birds are regulars of the trail. The next morning is the most momentous. It is the day of Poon Hill Sunrise View. Early in the morning trekkers will have to walk for about 45 minutes to reach the Poon Hilltop (3210 m). The morning sun rays coming out of the casement of snowcapped mountains are a joy to behold. Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Gangapurna are the mountains to see from the top. The morning sun kissing the horizon and lighting the surrounding hills is definitely an art of nature. Capture everything before heading back to Ghorepani for the further journey towards Annapurna Base Camp.

The trail follows the temperate and alpine forests ultimately towards the tundra zone of Annapurna Himalayas. Places like Chhomrong, Himalaya, Dovan and Machhapuchhre Base Camp are trekked to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu. (1400 meters). (1,345 m)

Outside the arrival terminal in Kathmandu international airport, you will see a representative from Adventure Victory Team with the company's display board. You will be escorted to chosen hotel and later after you freshen up, there will be meeting where the trek leader provides a detailed briefing on the trek. 

Day 2 Fly to Pokhara (900 meters), drive to Nayapul / Birethanti about 1:30 minutes and trek to Tikhedhuga(1570m) (1,570 m)

After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu airport and take a scenic flight to Pokhara. It will take about 25 minutes to reach Pokhara. Then we take a drive for about an hour and a half which will take us to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. The trek passes through the villages including Birethanthi, Sudme, and Hille. We follow the trail alongside the Burungdi Khola for whole day and ultimately reach our destination, Tikhedhunga. Overnight, stay at a teahouse. 

Day 3 Trek to Ghorepani. (2850 meters) about 6 hours uphill walking stay at the tea house. (2,850 m)

We start our trek crossing the suspension bridge over Bhurungdi Khola and then climb steep paved steps until Ulleri, a small village. The trail turns gradually up to Banthati and go gradually uphill to Nange Thati through the rhododendron forest. After walking for about 6 hours we reach Ghorepani where we stay overnight. 

Day 4 Trek to Tadapani. (2600 meters about 6 hours. (2,600 m)

Wake up early in the morning to hike up to Poon Hill view point to enjoy the sunrise above the amazing mountain ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Return to Ghorepani for beakfast and then continue trek towards Tadapani. The trail goes slightly uphill and passes through another rhododendron forest before reaching Deurali. We then descend down steeply to Nange Thati and continue to walk until we reach Tadapani. The total duration of today's trek is about 5 hours.

Day 5 Trek to Chomrong. (2100 meters) about 5 hours. (2,100 m)

After lunch, we follow the trail downhill through the lovely jungle to Chuile and then to Kimrong Khola. Crossing a suspension bridge followed by a steep climb, the trail steadies at the latter part of the day to the village of Chomrong. Close view of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli from Chomrong help you to get relief from the tiredness.

Day 6 Trek to Dovan. (2500 meters) about 6 hours. (2,500 m)

Today, the trek starts descending and then ascending to the valley. Reaching Sinuwa, the ascend ends and enters the final valley that heads to the Annapurna Base Camp. Further, the trail goes through the jungle to Bamboo. After hiking for about 5 hours we reach Dovan where we stay for the night. 

Day 7 Trek to Machapuchhre Base Camp (3700m) about 5hours (3,700 m)

Moving from the Dovan, you will find the jungle getting thinner and after passing through Himalaya, for the first time on the trek, the alpine vegetation can be enjoyed. The mountains slowly appear in the northern direction as you pass the avalanche proves area and lead to a wider valley. You can have a different angle of view of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South from Machhapuchhre Base Camp.

Day 8 Trek to Annapurna Base Camp. (4130 meters) about 3 hours. (4,130 m)

Easy walking on the gradual landscaped with the eye-catching Himalaya's view leads to the Annapurna Base Camp. Situated just above the South Annapurna glacier, the Base Camp is surrounded by tall mountains An amazing views of spectacular mountains including Annapurna, Annapurna Fang, Annapurna South Gandharva Chuli, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchhre make the trek even more exciting.

Day 9 After Breakfast takes scenic helicopter ride back to Pokhara and take a normal flight to Kathmandu by airplane. (1,400 m)

Wake up early in the morning to the sunrise view and after breakfast; take a scenic helicopter ride to Pokhara. In the afternoon, you take a regular scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 10 Final Departure to your Home Country. (1,345 m)
